Terms and conditions

You must agree to the following terms and conditions to use the Snipabout app and website and its services:

Usage of Snipabout

Certain Snipabout data layers are subject to additional terms of use which must be respected. Users may not copy or distribute data, except where explicitly stated otherwise. Users data and actions must abide by and be in compliance with applicable laws in users countries. This includes not adding/uploading inappropriate content (pornographic material, content displaying racial, religious or other types of violence, content containing illegal advertising, etc.). Users will not attempt any actions which could disturb or disrupt the working of Snipabout, its systems, or of other users.

Data Accuracy

Snipabout does not guarantee the accuracy of data in the system.

To the best of your knowledge, data uploaded/inserted/edited will be accurate and correct. If Snipabout finds inaccuracy in data we reserve the right to modify it in any way or delete it from the system.

Usage Monitoring

The Snipabout system monitors and records data about access and the actions of its users. This data is handled in compliance Snipabout Privacy Policy.

Any use of the application and its data for commercial purposes and/or copying, forwarding to third parties is prohibited, except when explicit permission is given by the copyright holder. Copyrighted material may be used only for personal purposes or informal or formal groups and in compliance with these terms and conditions. Snipabout data is in many cases modified in such a way to allow for easier use. To obtain the original data you agree to request it directly with the author/copyright owner/institution responsible for the data. Snipabout reserves the right to use all publicly accessible data for scientific purposes and non-public data for statistical purposes only.

General Terms for Data Retention

Snipabout will not be held responsible for any loss of data incurred by irregularities of the Internet or hardware failure or software bugs. Snipabout will strive for the smooth operation of its systems and appropriately care for its data. In case of necessary maintenance of hardware and/or software where the system will be temporarily offline and/or incomplete, a notice will be posted beforehand announcing maintenance work. Snipabout reserves the right to terminate access to the web page or its mobile App at any time for short maintenance work. In case of natural disasters Snipabout is not liable for data loss.

Advertising

Snipabout reserves the right to display advertisements on its pages without prior consent of its users. These may contain links to third party web pages chosen by Snipabout. Snipabout holds no responsibility for content on third party web pages.

11. Limitation of Responsibility

Snipabout and its partners, application developers, and layer owners are not responsible for any moral or material damage incurred by the users of the application. Snipabout is also not responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of data obtained from official authors, copyright holders, authorized institutions, or user uploads. Users of Snipabout use the application at their own risk. Any download from Snipabout is at your own risk. Snipabout will not be held responsible for damage to hardware and/or software and loss of data as a result of the use of data.

Warranty

Snipabout will strive to ensure uninterrupted, reliable and safe service of the application. Bug reports will be assessed in the shortest time possible.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Snipabout reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. You agree to abide by the most recent version of this. In case of changes to the terms and conditions information will be posted on the main Snipabout web page prior to their taking effect.

Beta Participation Agreement (BPA)

You are entitled to access, download or install, and operate the Snipabout App solely for the purposes of performing your Beta testing requirements. You may not sell, license, or transfer Snipabout, or reproductions of it to other parties In any way. You may download or Install, and operate the Snipabout App on any devices linked to the email address provided on sign-up.

Limitation on Liability Provision of any Software under this clause is experimental and shall not create any obligation for Us to continue to develop, productize, support, repair, offer for sale or in any other way continue to provide or develop Software either to Licensee or to any other party. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
